Cardio Exercises – 4 Types of Diseases As a Result of Doing the Wrong Cardio Exercises
In my last article I wrote about free radicals and what it can do to your body. My last article stated that free radicals can ruin the body and they come to the surface as a result of doing the wrong cardio exercises. In this article I want to expand a little more about the effects of doing the wrong cardio exercises. Here are 4 more side effects on your body as a result:
- Degenerative Joints: When you doing the wrong exercises, you can cause wear and tear to your joints and bones. So degenerative joints are joints that has a lot of wear and tear.Think about marathon (as well as triathlon) runners. These guys put their body and bones and joint under a heavy, steady load for hours at end. See how thin their muscles look as a result of that. Bones and muscles always go together, if you do not have strong muscles they will not support your bones and joints.
- Immune Function Reduction: Again, as a result of doing the wrong exercises, you can increase activity of free radicals, and that is linked directly to bad immune function. It is also worth mentioning that degenerative joints as well as the other two side effects I will mention below all contribute to a weak immune system.
- Muscle Waste: Look at marathoners physic, their muscles are wasted because they train all their lives for a steady pace running. Now look at 100 meter sprinters physic, like Usain Bolt. Good looking fellows, much more attractive than marathoners. This is because they train at bursts of excursion for their races, and that produce a lot of good stimulus in their body.
- Pro-inflammatory: Activity that promote inflammation. And this is again due to performing the wrong exercises.
All in all our body is one force. It function as a whole. That is why many people making a big mistake when they try to isolate muscles when the do their workout. So you can see from the four points above how one thing leads to the other and how if we are doing the wrong thing it can have a domino effect on our health, a negative domino effect that is.

We’re Getting Fatter in This World
And it’s because technology allows as to be lazy, the food we eat is loaded with chemicals and the supplements we take aren’t doing it either. Majority of supplements and weight loss pills in the market are basically processed food that lost most of its nutrients and that’s why you don’t see results with them. Below is an X-ray of the colon and you can see a bunch of undissolved pills this person took for…perhaps weight loss, vitamins or something else.

Expensive Extraction
So this person simply extracted those pills and…that’s one expensive extraction if you ask me.
Good VS Bad Cardio
OK. Lets look at all those cardio machines: Bicycles, treadmills, cross trainers, and many many more.
NOW
Look me in my eyes and tell me, honestly. Do you really enjoy going to the gym and spending half an hour on one of those cardio machines? Did you lose weight by doing that? I didn’t think so. It’s BOOOORRRRING, and what’s more, can actually damage your body.
Normal day to day cardio, the one that you do at the gym has been linked to:

an increase in free radicals

it may degenerate joints
-
reduce your immune system
-
can cause muscle waste
-
and can also cause pro-inflammatory response that can lead to chronic disease
And I’m gonna go over these flaws, just to expand a little about each one:
Free Radicals: A free radical is a single atom or molecule that has a single unpaired electron in an outer shell. So if it lacks its electron it will look for it when it enters our body. What ever we breath has free radicals in it. The air we breath is polluted, wherever we are. If we’re at home by the fire – we breath free radicals, having a BBQ in the summer – free radicals, not to mention of course car and factories fumes we breath all day. The cells that burning 24/7 inside our body produce free radicals. So smoke, has free radicals in it, and it goes into our body and penetrate our healthy cells. Once a free radical is in our body it will look for its paired electron and IT WILL FIND IT!
Trust me on that one.
And the only place a free radical can find electrons in our bodies is in the cells. It will penetrate a living healthy cell, snatch its electron and walk away, happy. We are left with a damaged cell that has no electron, and no means of getting one and is dying, this can lead to an accelerated aging, and develop chronic diseases such as cancer.

Good Cardio
The exercises talked about in this book are basically bursts of excursion followed by a recovery period. And Mike talks about …for example, playing a ball game, soccer, basketball, tennis, rugby, racketball, so on. These type of activities has been linked to:

an increase of anti oxidants

anti-inflammatory response
-
better nitric oxide response
-
and an increase in your metabolic rate
and I’ll expand a little about these benefits as well:
Antioxidants: Plants are the only source of antioxidants. Human beings eat fruits, vegetables and nuts. Animals that we eat, also fed on grass. Think about it – sheep, cuttle, chickens etc… none are meat eaters. Mike in his book, Truth About Abs also talks about grass fed meet as the preferred meet for us eat. Antioxidants are counter-actors for free radicals. So when you breath all that fumigated air all day, think about your fruit and vegetables as the only cure.
Anti Inflammatory Response: That is exactly what it is – when doing the wrong exercises we may promote inflammation inside our body. When doing the right ones though – we promote an anti dot – pro inflammatory response in our body, so that we remain healthy.
Nitric Oxide: Is an important molecule responsible for communication with other cells in our body.
Metabolic Rate: Believe it or not but I looked in the dictionary for a definition of Metabolism, and this is what I found: “metabolism refers to the countless chemical processes going on continuously inside the body that allow life and normal functioning. So the better your metabolic rate the more fat and calories you’ll burn,
and as a result of that, the healthier you are.
The other thing is that steady state endurance training trains the heart at one specific heart rate range, and that’s no good for your heart because it may not stand day to day stressors. So when you get stressed which all of us do every day in this day and age, or even when we get really excited or frightened from something, our heart rate and blood pressure can increase rapidly, so it’s beneficial for you to train your heart for these situations.
There is one point to emphasize here, and Mike do that in his book, variable cyclic training requires you to recover, you know, after you sprint or do any burst of exertion. That recovery period IS the factor that will elicit a healthy response to exercise stimulus.
And besides, it’s fun.
The Right Exercises
So we spoke about playing sport as a good cardio, and here are a few more great exercises you can do at home:
Wind sprint: Pick a windy day and sprint against the wind.
Hill sprints: go to the nearest hill to your house, walk to the bottom of it and sprint up, then walk slowly down. Walking down hill slowly is your recovery period.
If you do these two exercises 2-3 times per week, maybe 4 intervals at a time you’ll start to see results very quickly, trust me!
Now here’s a set of intervals you can do at the gym on a tread mill, that is much more beneficial for your body than the usual 20-30min jog.

Start on a fast walk or a light jog for 3-4 minutes. This just a warm up
-
Immediately after that sprint up to 8 mile an hour for 1 minute.

Once you finish your 1 minute sprint, slow down all the way to 4 mile an hour for 1.5 minutes
-
Then immediately after that sprint up again to 10 mile an hour for 1 minute
- And then shift to another recovery period of 1.5 min at 4 mile an hour.
You’ve got a great 5 minutes interval that will elicit the best and healthiest response to a stimulus. Repeat it 4 times for a great 20-minutes workout. So you don’t rest between each interval. It’s good for your heart and much more fun than that boring 20 min light jog.
So to summarize it you train your body at highly variable intensity rates to get a beneficial response in terms of heart health, fat loss and muscle maintenance.

The Truth About 6 Pack Abs – Exercise To Lose Weight
In many of my previous posts I wrote about the right type of exercises to do if you want to slim down and lose weight.
Today I want to emphasize on why you should exercise at all. What does exercise actually do to your body, and what is the truth about 6 pack abs.
The Truth is That Abs Exercises Don’t Rid Extra Weight
Many people spend hours on their belly exercises, hoping to sculpt their stomach muscles called abdominal. What they don’t realize is that this is a wrong approach if you want to really slim down and get your set of 6 abs pop out behind the fat that is covering them. There are several chemical reactions that need to happen inside our body to burn fat and calorie. Abs exercise do not trigger them. But multi-joint exercises will.
Growth hormone and testosterone are just two of the hormones we need acting inside our body to be able to burn fat and calorie. When these two friendly hormones are active they do wonders to toxins, free radicals, fat, calories and other stuff that we do not need in our body. Multi-joint exercises trigger those two hormones and help the body in its process to slim down and be healthy. Once a human go over the age of 21 the body will not produce them naturally any more. At least not to the extent it should do in order not to gain weight.
Multi-Joint Exercises Burn Much More Fat and Calories than Abs Exercises
Think about it – abs exercises only work he stomach. Multi-joint ones will work the whole body. Which one is more beneficial to do then? Fat accumulates in the stomach thus cover the abs but there are a whole system of bodily reactions that need to happen inside the body to get rid of that fat, and stomach (or abs) exercises alone will not be sufficient to achieve that goal.

Fatty Food and Cellular Function – What Can Fat Do to Your Body
Hydrogenated and refined oils can be deadly if used often for cooking. I have stated in one of my previous articles that I would not even use them for my lawn mower. These oils has been mixed with so many chemicals, industrial solvents, metal catalysts, bleaching and deodorizing agents that any nutrients it may have had at some stage has long been murdered by these activities. When you heat these oils up, it produces free radicals that will inevitably pass to the food you cook and then into your body. Once it is in your system it will severely interfere with your cellular function and that is dangerous. Some of the oils to avoid are canola, soybean and cotton seed oils, that are mass produced and undergo heavy refined processes. Here is what can happen in your body if you cook using these deadly oils.
- Free radicals entering your body. They are virtually everywhere. Oxygen we breath
contain free radicals. Smoke, whether it is from the BBQ, your fire place, out of a factory chimney or from your car exhaust, is poisonous and contain free radicals and we inevitably breath that smoke. The heat being produced when cooking hydrogenated and refined oils will create them and they are entering your body because you eat the food being cooked in these oils. Free radicals are a major catalyst in aging. The more free radicals playing in your cellular function the quicker you will age, and develop chronic diseases. - Cellular function at jeopardize. Once inside the body, free radicals will damage your cellular function. Understand that a free radical is a single atom in a search for a paired electron. That single atom (free radical) will frantically look AND FIND its paired electron. The one place a free radical can find it is in a healthy functioning cell. Every cell in the body has, among other things, a paired atom and an electron. They live there peacefully, then, a free radical enters that cell and cause havoc and leave with its electron. That cell that was once happy and in good shape is now sick. It lacks an electron and start develop what we call a chronic disease. It is a damaged cell. This process happens in the body every single day, to millions of well functioning cells because of what we eat.
- Chronic diseases starting to develop in the body. In the heart of the cell there is a little thing called DNA. A free radical that enters a cell to kidnap an electron, causes havoc. If in its unruly behavior it damages the DNA, that cell may start to replicate itself again and again in an attempt to heal, and this is the start of a tumor. this is the beginning of cancer. Many other chronic diseases can start as a result of that, such as heart disease, diabetes, Crohn’s disease, and even depression.
There are many pharmaceutical medicine that given to patients to heal chronic diseases but nutrition alone can and will properly heal a chronic disease because it treat the problem from its root and not just the symptoms. Free Radicals and Antioxidants in Health and Disease – Why Antioxidants Are So Anti Free Radicals
A radical is an atom. In chemistry an atom needs a paired electron to survive. A free radical is a single atom that is frantically looking for its friend – the electron. It will not live long without an electron, thus will do a lot to find it. The word radical often linked to the word extreme. One place a free radical can find an electron is in our cells.

When we breath oxygen, we intake a chemical character called free radical. Other sources of it are: BBQ smoke, car fumes, factory fumes, and fire place, but it also in our body as cells burn themselves in order to replace themselves 24/7. When a free radical (which is a single atom) enters the body it looks for an electron, as mentioned above. You have left with a single atom in your cell with no way to get an electron any more. In our cells there is also a little thing called DNA. So What Possibly Can Anti-Oxidants Do?
Anti-oxidants are the only counter actor for free radicals. Anti oxidants will stop oxidation inside the body and prevent free radicals from causing a havoc inside living cells. Plants are the only source of anti-oxidants on earth. When you eat those plants you put anti-oxidants in the body. Without that you will oxidize and age at hyper speed. Fruit, vegetables, nuts and other plants will lock away those FR and separate them from healthy living cells. Cancer starts from free radicals. Breast cancer or any other type of cancer stems from free radicals entering our body. They are every where. The air we breath has oxygen in it. Oxygen will oxidize our body, it brings free radicals into it. Smoke, where ever that maybe, has a lot of free radicals. If you are at home sitting by the fire you will inevitably breath in some of it, The smoke from your BBQ is toxic and contain free radicals, cars exhausts, factory chimneys, etc. all smoking free radicals. Because we live in such an industrial age, we inevitably breath a portion of that smoke with its free radicals.

Chronic diseases are chronic because it is not curable for 6 months or more. That means you did not eat properly and exposed your body to toxic environment. It is that simple and that is why the solution is also very simple.

Alternative Medicine Vs Conventional Medicine – Does Alternative Medicine Work?
In the last 10 years I have seen several acupuncturists. They were all Chinese who studied their profession in China. All the doctors I have seen thought that conventional and alternative medicine should be combined together, and that eliminating one totally, would be harmful.

Olives That Does Not Give You A Stomach Ache
I was invited for a Shabbat meal at the Rabbi’s house here in Wellington a few weeks ago, this was a traditional Jewish Shabbat meal. Khayim Dovrat came with his wife Tova from Israel a few years ago for their 2nd delegation as the Rabbi for the Jewish community. In the beginning of the meal there were all sorts of pickles, and breads and other starters that Tova made. She is a great cook, believe me, all the food on the table was very tasty, the type that any restaurant would be proud of. Among other things there were olives.
Here is how Tova makes her own olives at home.
I love olives and when I eat them, I eat them fast. And when I do that – I get a heck of a stomach ache, but when I ate Tova’s home made pickled olives I was fine. I was not sick and could enjoy her pickled olives. I had to ask her how she does that, and she explained to me that olives from the factory are being mixed with some sort of acid that soften them quickly. It is not a natural pickling so that is why I always feel it in my stomach.
And just in case you didn’t understand my accent, here is the whole process step by step:
- Collect your olives from an olive grove. You can find a grove near your town and offer to pay for your harvest. I was talking the other day to the organic shop manager here in Wellington about milk in New Zealand. It is illegal to sell raw milk in New Zealand and so if you want raw milk you got to buy a share of a cow in a dairy farm. Quite a lot of people are doing it so you can do the same with olives.
- Make a slot in each olive. Wash them with running water and make a slot half way through on each olive, just like Rabbi Khayim shows you in the video. Some people prefer to knock the olives to make this process quicker but that can break the stone which will make the olives even more bitter.
- Place the olives in fresh tap water. This will take the bitterness out of the olives. You must replace the water once or twice every day over the course of ten days so that the olives will not sit in the same water all that time. When you pour the water out, you will notice it has color. This is the bitterness coming out of the olives.
- Take a large glass jar. Sanitize the jar with boiled water. So basically you pour boiled hot water over the jar, inside out. Place a metal spoon inside the jar so that it will not snap. Tova and Rabbi Khayim told me that placing metal inside the glass jar prevents the glass from being snapped with hot water.
- Place layers of olives, garlic and lemon in the jar. Now you are ready to place the olives in the jar so that they will be pickled. Place a layer of about two inches olives, then a layer of garlic cloves and a layer of roughly chopped whole lemons. Then another layer of olives and keep going in that order until the jar is full.
- Prepare a solution of water and salt. In a clean bowl put one cup of salt and 10 cups of water and pour it on top of the olives in the jar. You may have noticed that we already have 2 natural preservatives. salt and lemon. That will keep the olives edible for years.
- Pour a layer of extra virgin olive oil. The oil will act as a sealer and prevent air from coming in contact with the olives thus keeps them away from acid. All you need is a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil. Of course every oil will do here but EV olive oil is best.
- Place in a cool dark place for a minimum of two months. Close the jar and place it in the cupboard or anywhere cool and dark for at least two months. The olives are ready to eat in two months time but the longer it is there, the better and tastier they are.
